We are a 100% volunteer-run organization supported by generous donations and grants. Over $0.90 of every dollar donated goes directly to the students we serve.
-$30 provides round-trip transportation to a doctor/dental appointment
-$89.95 pays for an eye exam and 2 pairs of glasses
-$75 provides a dental evaluation or a sports participation physical exam
-$100 covers a mandatory school entry physical exam
-ANY AMOUNT helps us help our community’s students in need

The Marjorie Hughes Fund wants to GROW!!! We need your help…we are aiming to increase our reach and operations in the coming years. Your donations and volunteer assistance can help us to accomplish this.

How You Can Help
We are currently in need of assistance with technical and management aspects of running a non-profit, such as building and maintaining websites; using spreadsheets or accounting programs such as QuickBooks; or planning and executing fundraisers such as bands at local bars, or restaurant profit-sharing events. We also seek advisors and Board members, especially those with connections to the medical, dental, mental health, community health, immigration, non-profit, legal, or medical insurance fields. We also welcome speakers of the following languages: Spanish, Arabic, Bengali, Amharic and Mongolian.
Please note our volunteers do not work directly with APS students.
